This sounds very basic and almost trivial, but once a situation occurs, organizing and making a plan is too late. With a lack of storm activity over the years and 1 million new Florida residents in the state since the last storm, naivety could cause some Florida residents to be ill prepared.<\/p>\n<p>Hurricane Wilma hit Florida in 2005 leaving almost 4 million people statewide without electricity for several days.
