Deer are abundant<br \/>\nin forested and rural areas, but they also wander into suburban neighborhoods<br \/>\nlooking for food.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Deer travel in packs.<\/strong><br \/>\nIf you spot one, chances are good there could be others.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Use your high-beams.<\/strong> The <a aria-label=\" (opens in a new tab)\" href=\"https:\/\/www.fs.usda.gov\/detail\/ocala\/learning\/safety-ethics\/?cid=fsbdev3_008620\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">U.S. Forest Service<\/a> suggests, while driving at night use your high-beam headlights when there is no opposing traffic. Swerving to avoid an animal can often cause a more serious crash or result in drivers losing control of vehicles.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>If you do hit a deer,<br \/>\ndo not touch the animal!<\/strong>The U.S. Forest Service warns, the deer in<br \/>\nattempting to move or get away, could hurt you or itself. If possible, move<br \/>\nyour vehicle to the side of the road and call the police.
