Read on for further details to keep you and your household safe.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Onions<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fda.gov\/food\/outbreaks-foodborne-illness\/outbreak-investigation-salmonella-newport-red-onions-july-2020?utm_campaign=OutbreakAlert_SalmonellaOnion_07312020&amp;utm_medium=email&amp;utm_source=Eloqua&amp;_ga=2.188853803.1063050529.1599582729-1664831137.1594308956\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">U. S. Food &amp; Drug Administration<\/a> (FDA) is analyzing samples collected at Thomson International which has recalled all red, white, yellow and sweet yellow onions shipped to all 50 states and the District of Columbia. The onions are being linked to a Salmonella outbreak that has sickened 510 people.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mayoclinic.org\/diseases-conditions\/salmonella\/symptoms-causes\/syc-20355329#:~:text=Salmonella%20infection%20(salmonellosis)%20is%20a,through%20contaminated%20water%20or%20food.\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">Mayo Clinic<\/a> reports Salmonella symptoms include, nausea, vomiting, abdominal cramps, diarrhea, fever, chills, headache and blood in the stool. &nbsp;Most healthy people recover within a few days without specific treatment. In some cases, dehydration can prompt immediate medical attention.<\/p>\n<p>The onions are sold under the following brand names, Thomson Premium, TLC Thomson International, Tender Loving Care, El Competitor, Hartley\u2019s Best, Onions 52, Majestic, Imperial Fresh, Kroger, Utah Onions and Food Lion.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<strong>Peaches<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>A multi-state outbreak of salmonella infections is being linked to peaches. The peaches are packed or supplied by Prima Wawona or Wawona Packing Company. They are sold bagged, in bulk and loose. The peaches are distributed nationwide and sold at Walmart, Target, Aldi and elsewhere.<\/p>\n<p>Also, discard peach salsa labeled as \u201cPerfectly Peach Salsa.\u201d The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cdc.gov\/salmonella\/enteritidis-08-20\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">Centers for Disease Control and Prevention<\/a> (CDC) recommends, \u201cIf you cannot tell where your peaches are from, don\u2019t eat them. Instead of chicken noodle, customers found a meatball and pasta product. The products were also reported to have undeclared allergens.<\/p>\n<p>Affected cans have a best by date of \u201cBestByMAY262022\u201d printed on the bottom of the can and a best by date of \u201c09JUN2022,\u201d printed on the product case.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Frozen Shrimp<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Kader Exports, is recalling various sizes of frozen cooked, peeled and deveined shrimp due to possible salmonella contamination. The product has been distributed nationwide.<\/p>\n<p>Frozen cooked deveined shrimp sold under the brand names Aqua Star Reserve, Censea, Fresh Market, Kirkland Signature (Costco), Tops, Unistar, and Wellsley Farms (BJ\u2019s Wholesale Club).
