Social distancing is now a factor, as well as school from home, work from home and financial distress for many Americans.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAll these new situations are causing homeowners to reassess their housing needs,\u201d says <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/in\/dustyns\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" =_blank>Dustyn Shroff<\/a>, Vice President of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.greatflorida.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">GreatFlorida Insurance<\/a>, Florida\u2019s leading independent <a href=\"https:\/\/www.greatflorida.com\/florida-homeowners-insurance\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">homeowners insurance<\/a> agency.<\/p>\n<p>New data from the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nar.realtor\/newsroom\/pandemic-caused-buyers-to-seek-multi-generational-homes-sellers-to-sell-faster\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">National Association of Realtors 2020 Profile of Home Buyers and Sellers<\/a> reports, changes in America\u2019s housing market due to the pandemic. The report shows those who purchased their home after March, were more likely to buy a multi-generational home. Buyers were interested in homes with more rooms, bigger yards and more square footage. Overall, larger homes with more space. Forbes says, \u201cAmericans seek warmer, healthier, less dense, better educated and more mobile places to live that offer closer access to the outdoors, better hospitals, smaller schools and more space\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Not all are abandoning the lifestyle change of downsizing.
