There is no surge in infection cases and vaccines are available. You might be paying a little bit more for gas and your holiday meal, but despite that, this Thanksgiving feels a bit more hopeful.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIf you try, you can always find a reason to be thankful,\u201d says <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/in\/dustyns\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" =_blank>Dustyn Shroff<\/a>, Vice President of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.greatflorida.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">GreatFlorida Insurance<\/a>, Florida\u2019s largest independent <a href=\"https:\/\/www.greatflorida.com\/florida-homeowners-insurance\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">homeowners insurance agency<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Read how your Thanksgiving might be different below.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<strong>Travel<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/newsroom.aaa.com\/2021\/11\/buckle-up-aaa-predicts-thanksgiving-travel-to-rebound-almost-to-pre-pandemic-levels\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">AAA<\/a> predicts more than 53.4 million people expected to travel over the Thanksgiving holiday. This is up 13 percent from last year, the highest single year increase since 2005. Orlando, Tampa and Ft. AAA suggests planning to arrive 2 hours prior to your departure for domestic travel and 3 for international travel.<\/p>\n<p>Most travel by car over Thanksgiving. \u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/newsroom.aaa.com\/2021\/11\/buckle-up-aaa-predicts-thanksgiving-travel-to-rebound-almost-to-pre-pandemic-levels\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">AAA<\/a> recommends having key components checked such as battery, fuel system, tires, brakes and fluid levels before hitting the road. So, when is the best time to leave? Roads are most congested after noon on Wednesday. The most ideal time to travel is in the morning or after 9pm.<\/p>\n<p><strong>What\u2019s Closed?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>A majority of stores are closed on Thanksgiving. This year, some stores that usually remain open have decided to shut their doors for the holiday. Walmart is closed as a way to say, \u201cthank you,\u201d to their workers. Target is also closed after receiving a positive response to the move. Other locations that are closed include:<\/p>\n<p>Banks<\/p>\n<p>Government offices<\/p>\n<p>Grocery stores- Aldi &amp; Publix<\/p>\n<p>Best Buy<\/p>\n<p>Costco<\/p>\n<p>Home Depot<\/p>\n<p>Macy\u2019s<\/p>\n<p>Simon, one of the largest mall operators in the US.<\/p>\n<p>TJ Maxx<\/p>\n<p>US Post Office<\/p>\n<p>Winn Dixie<\/p>\n<p>Check out this list from a local \u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/miami.cbslocal.com\/2021\/11\/22\/what-stores-open-closed-thanksgiving-shopping\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">CBS<\/a> affiliate to see additional closings.
